THE CHARIOT

THE CHARIOT is our Tarot Card for this week. If it looks a little fierce and scary, that’s because it is! But in this case, it is a good thing.  First off, I will give you THE CHARIOTS traditional meanings; it can mean Willpower, Determination, Drive and Travel. Now to get into it a little deeper. This Tarot Card is a Major Arcana card. Major Arcana cards signify a BIG lesson you are being asked to learn or something BIG that you are going through, and have to get through in order to move forward and out of the current situation. THE CHARIOT rules over the Zodiac sign of Cancer (you can see the symbol of Cancer in the bottom right hand corner of the card in blue that looks like a 69. Cancer is the most ‘watery’ or emotional sign of the whole Zodiac, and all that water/emotions, can get the best of us if we aren’t careful.) In the background you can see a mystical beast, part Wolf and part Boar… pretty fierce and scary creature nipping at our heels! Also in the background we can see a crescent Moon which can signify things that go Boo! or only come out at night.  The Moonscape looks stormy and unsettled. So there we have set up the scene for this card…  eery, scary and fierce! But wait! Let’s get into the mid and foreground of the card. In the middle of the card we see a person standing on a huge brick of concrete (signifing standing fast and firm in the face of fear) that seems to be inside a huge wheeled boat. The person’s arm’s are open wide in a gesture of  “Bring it on, Baby! Is that all you’ve got?!!” They have fire flaring out all around them signifying fiery energy… the energy of Bravery (Great card for Veteran’s on Veteran’s Day! God Bless them all! Talk about having to push through fear in order to move forward!) , Courage, Will and Determination. And it’s flying in the face of the Beast of Fears! In the foreground, we have the Wheeled Boat forcing it’s way through all that choppy, stormy water/emotions. This signifies Traveling as well as forward momentum. Traveling deliberately through your fears and what scares the hell out of you! Facing your fears with Will, Determination, Courage and Bravery, even if you have to fake it and make yourself appear bigger than you truly feel. Speaking of feelings… I really want you to take notice of the water rushing over the concrete block the person is standing on. Notice how it is coming from behind them? From out of the past or from what is unseen? But then once it reaches the person, all that fiery energy applied to the past and those unseen fears, shows they have used their Bravery, Courage, Will & Determination to head right into that storm and face it head on. Thus turning all that scary dark and even unseen stormy water/emotion into liquid Gold! By using Bravery, Will and sheer Determination to travel right into the fray; facing their fears  and not looking back, with Will and Determination… even having to force themselves to push through that fear, they have transformed that very fearful emotion and turned it into something of value (the liquid Gold). By facing our fears head on we gain control of them.  Then we can use that power the fear used to have over us and turn it into something we can use to take control over it. That fiery energy  we need to give us Bravery,  Courage, Motivation and Self-Esteem in order to travel through our Journey and lives with Confidence and Fearlessness. If you find that fear is holding you back, use the power of THE CHARIOT to move you forward and right through those fears. Become THE CHARIOT!!!

****Personal Theme song of mine for when I find myself consumed by fear and I heartily hope you look it up and play it when fear has you in it’s grip:  ” IF YOU’RE GOING THROUGH HELL”  by Rodney Atkins

       THE MAGICIAN

This week, I’ve decided to back away from the more heavy, deep Cards and lighten up and have a little more fun with this wonderful oldie but goodie deck that I have had for decades. I’ve just been waiting until the energies felt right. This week feels perfect! The Sun is shinning and the air is crisp and it’s time to bundle up and come inside. But since we still have that wonderful Sun up in the sky, we are going to feel motivated to build, create and Manifest our goals and desires this week. That is what THE MAGICIAN is all about! Manifesting what we are Passionate about. Manifesting our goals, desires and making our dreams a reality. We are motivated to create what up till now, we have only been able to dream about. As John Luke Picard of the Star Ship Enterprise (in the 1990’s Star Trek, The Next Generation, sequel to the original Star Trek series) was fond of saying,  “Make it So!”, as well as Nike’s brand phrase “Just Do It!”!. It’s time to create what we want and to make it Real. To Create. To Manifest. To “Make It So!” to “Just Do It”! Whether your goals are to create more Love in your life (as indicated by the pair of ‘Love Birds’ in the top of the card just above the blue sky shaped like a heart, or if what you desire is Money and an infinite supple of financial security (indicated by the infinity sign and the two halves of the Gold and Silver yin/yang signs which also suggest the male and female, as well as the male/female sides of us all). And if you look closely, you will see the little Gold Crystal Ball on the bottom left hand corner of the card… this symbolizes that all these riches are things you will be able to manifest for your future. Something nice to look for ward to, eh? On the bottom right hand side of the card you will see a silver lightening rod… This indicates the power is coming down from the heavens or Universe. That’s where your personal power comes from at this time. Silver is a color of Spirituality, while Gold is Earthly power and authority. In between these two symbols, we see a big Red heart, the universal symbol for our emotions and love. Surrounding it all, we have lush plants and flowers, which symbolize growth. And behind all this we have that big blue sky in the shape of a heart with it’s fluffy clouds in the background symbolizing we have all the love and support to manifest our dreams. We have the power from the Universe to create and manifest all these things and make them grow well into the future. Pretty cool, hu? This card also suggests physical power, health, endurance and vitality. This can mean we finally have more energy, strength and the motivation we need to get things done.  We have the ability to awaken our Kundalini energy and use all that spiritual and sexual energy in any way we see fit. Whether we use it in the bedroom, the board room, the shop or studio, we have all the ‘tools’ we need, already contained right there inside of us in order to create the things we desire. The energy is there for the taking. Let’s use this energy to manifest our goals and desires, our hopes and dreams… Let’s “Just do it”, … Let’s “Make it So”!!!

BIG BOLD VISION

This Oracle is dedicated to those who aren’t afraid to rattle some cages, ruffle some feathers and rock some boats. May your rebellious heart beat with the power of divine grace, and may your soul thrive,

You were not born to play a small role in life. You have the ability to dream big. Even if you have absolutely no idea about how your visions can come true or what all the details may look like, you can access the heart and guts of a vision by tapping into your wildest dreams and surrendering attachment to exactly how it all will work out. The details are up to the Universe. You are an active, contributing participant but not the sole player in your life journey. There is a vision or an idea that is coming to you. You may worry that it is too much for you. But, don’t worry. It is meant to be yours. Although you might have some adjustments to make and some tweaking to do as you let go of your limited thinking and open up to a fearless acceptance of bigger, brighter, more radical and more potent possibilities of creatively living your light in the world. A sign that you are cracking out of your limited thinking, to allow for a big, bold vision to come to you, is that you might feel a little dizzy with the shrinking limitations and expanding possibilities of life. You may wonder if you are allowed to access so much wonder! Remember that in your healing and growing success as you manifest this big vision, you can touch the hearts of others through your presence, your inner work, your art and your choices. It is a win – win situation! Those that are meant to live big, bold and visionary lives need to give themselves permission to break the mold and forge newer, more expansion perspectives of what is possible, what is permitted and what is of service. It’s about letting go and opening up. Others will benefit from this.  Even though it is your vision. It is not just about you!  You are being asked to remember that when something is right for you, endless synchronicities and support will flow your way, at the right time and in the right way. Stay open, receptive, playful and surrendered.

This oracle brings you a message. You are about to receive or be invited to become part of a grand visionary beginning. It has the makings of something fantastic. No matter how the journey that brings this vision into reality unfolds… and there will be some twists and turns that you don’t see coming… it is helpful for you to be open to it. Trust your heart, be still with your choices and when the time feels right and truthful, leap! This oracle brings a message for those who would like to further develop their intuitive sight. It is already happening. Trust in what you perceive. Even if it conflicts with what everyone else around you is saying or the surface of things, trust your inner perceptions. They are accurate and will help you with this also. This oracle brings a general message of positive energy. Trust that things will be coming up roses for you. Even if everything seems to be in a bit of a shambles now, it’s really just the essential mess before a truly spectacular success.

Six of Swords

This week we are  using THE GODDESS TAROT by Kris Waldherr, which is a deck with a very feminine feel to it. The feminine is more emotional and soulful than the Male side which is concerned about taking care of business on the exterior plane of existence. Both are very important factors in our lives and we all have and need both Yin (female) and Yang (male) energies to be in balance with ourselves and the World we live in. So Guys, don’t think you are being left out this week, as this card applies to you too!

In the Six of Swords we see a young Lady sitting in a boat with Six Swords behind her in the boat with her. You should take note of how she is looking rather sadly at the rough water to her right and the white water Lilies which symbolize innocence and purity. She seems to have bandages  (at least that is how I see them) on her right arm symbolizing  that she has been hurt… and this is on the same side as the rough water  and white Lilies she is so sadly looking at. Notice also that she has a white Headband on, symbolizing her innocence and thoughts. On the Left side of the boat is calm clear blue (blue is the color of the mental plane and our thoughts)water (symbolizing our emotions)  and smooth rolling hills (symbolizing an easier time and conditions on the physical plane). What does all this mean? Well, The bow of the boat is heading away from the rough choppy water of the emotions. She has been hurt physically, mentally or emotionally and it has taken away her pure innocent thoughts, feelings and thus, it has taken a toll on her physically too. So even though she is mourning what once started out as pure and innocent times, it has turned cold, rough and even physically damaging and she knows she must leave it all behind and head for smoother water on the distant shore. Even though she doesn’t know what awaits her there,  she knows it will be better than what she is leaving behind. She isn’t expecting to forget what has happened in the past,.. she knows she will always remember the sweet times and even miss them, but she can’t forget the now damaging and hurtful times they have become  (because she has taken those Swords with her in the boat. Thus symbolizing responsibility) , and she knows she must move on and away from the mental, and possibly physical but definitely emotionally painful circumstances. It is time to think about her responsibility for how she is creating her own life, her self-preservation and self-care. It is time to head out and do what is in her own best interest, even if she doesn’t really know how things will turn out. But she knows it has to be better than what she is leaving behind.

So if you are living or working in a condition that has mentally, physically and/or emotionally left you feeling beaten or wounded; then perhaps it’s time to leave it behind. To take responsibility for the life you are living and the conditions you are living with.  And even though it may make you sad because it all started out so sweet, accept that it has now gone sour and pack your things and leave it behind. It may be sad, it may even be scary, but you know in your heart and mind that anything has got to be better than what you are experiencing now. Get in your boat (means of transportation, or a change in your perspective, no matter what that may be) and head to calmer waters and distant shores. Put some space between you and the conditions or people that have taken your happiness, joy or innocence. Time to move on. Or change your way of thinking. Take responsibility for creating the life you truly want to be living.

The Six of Swords is from THE GODDESS TAROT  published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc. and created and Authored by Kris Waldherr c. 1997 U.S. Games Systems, Inc. 179 Ludlow Street, Stamford, CT 06902 USA   Used by permission.

Temperance

Today’s Tarot Reading Card is Temperance. As the name indicates, Temperance has to do with moderation. It also has to do with having patience and not acting in haste and encourages one not to act or react in extremes. Not to hot and not to cold. Not too fast but not too slow either… keep centered and walk the middle road.

Temperance deals with being able to harmonize and balance ones emotions, physical life & spirit. To gain nourishment from these things while not letting them over run you and cause either apathy, anger or physical excess. So this week, be aware so you can stay balanced and keep your temper in check. Nourish your body, emotions and spirit. Be patient, even when it is hard or you find it frustrating to do so. Be moderate, patient and kind. Stay balanced and seek out harmony in your relationships and in all you do. Be Temperate… don’t come on too hot or too cold. Too passive or too strong.  Use your emotions to nourish both yourself and others.  Temperance means moderation, patience, balance, nourishing ones body, spirit and emotions. Seek harmony in all you say and do and with those you encounter this week.

Blog Post #10 – Tarot Card for the Week of Oct. 8th – Oct. 14th

  THE MOON

This weeks card is from The Druid Craft Tarot Deck, which is one of my favorite deck’s with a very soulful feel to it. I love to use this deck when I’m doing soul searching. I would imagine that you get that feeling from this card as well.         THE MOON is all about delving into the unconscious. Digging into our shadow sides and our issues that we have buried deep from the light of our consciousness. This card deals with things that happen at night, in the shadows or in the dark. It shows our loco, primal or crazy side. With THE MOON, we are faced with the scary things we only bring into conscious awareness when the lights are out. Our fears, our demons, our monsters under the bed.  These things crawl out of the abyss of our subconscious and into our awareness as a feeling in the pit of our stomach and won’t let us sleep. If sleep does come, our dreams pick up where our consciousness left off and this is where nightmares are made. But it also has that soulful side of our shadow that I mentioned before. Where we can bring out the ‘real us’ that we don’t let others see for fear they would think us odd, uncivilized or plain loco. It is the side of us that some might consider illogical, irrational, spooky or even downright evil. Not because it is truly evil, but because it isn’t readily acceptable in the light of day or in Western culture. It is our intuition, our gut feelings, our dreams and how we ‘just know’ things without knowing why. These abilities are mysterious to most and often times feared. At times, they even scare ourselves because we feel they come from some other worldly source that we shouldn’t be communicating with. A source unseen that causes fear and a sense of uneasiness in the majority of us.

  • Psychic awakening
  • Dreams & things that happen in the shadows, at night or in the dark
  • Intuition & the Imagination
  • Deep revelation of feminine mysteries
  • Withdrawal
  • Facing fears

THE MOON is the card of the Psychic, the Gypsy, the Fortune-teller. It is the card of the mysterious Goddess of the night. The animus and primal in us, the beast or baser instincts within us all. It is also the card of the powerful feminine energy. The cycles in us and the Earth. Mother Nature’s cycles, menstrual cycles, gestational cycles, seasonal cycles, the cycles of the MOON herself, the tide cycles, as well as rites of passage cycles such as aging… the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone.                                 THE MOON is the sacred feminine. THE MOON is the mysterious female. THE MOON is woman.  On the next full Moon, look at her with your eyes and heart wide open. See her. Really see HER in all her beauty! Her face is full, her lips lush and sensual, her cheeks high and proud and strong. When you aren’t afraid to truly look at her, you can see THE MOON is NOT ‘The Man in the Moon’ at all; but your sacred feminine whom illuminates what lies in the darkest corners of our souls, asking us to see it, recognize it and accept it, and not be afraid!!!

Four of Domhan a.k.a. the Four of Pentacles

In the Four of Domham, or more commonly called the Four of Pentacles in other decks, we see Four Pentacles etched on the pillars that are guarding and supporting  the ‘safe room’ for all the gold and riches we have accumulated thus far. In front of the  “safe room” we see a pillow where we can sit and guard our treasures as well as admire all we have accumulated. This is all very good and nice, except if you notice the color of the pillow, you will see that it is also the same gray color as the stone ‘safe room’. This indicates that you spend way too much time admiring your money and possessions or working and worrying about accumulating more. More money, more possessions… more, more, more and still more. When is enough, enough? Are you working for the sole purpose of accumulating more money and possessions to the exclusion of joy and your soul purpose? If your work doesn’t feed your soul as well as your pocketbook, then this my be the case for you. If you only passions in life comes from money and what it can gain you, perhaps you need to loosen your grip on some of your wealth and have some fun with some of it. After all, “All work and no play makes Jack/or Jill and dull boy/girl!” This card is frequently called the ‘King Midas’ card. Where he loved his money and possessions so much that matters of the heart fell by the wayside. All he had held dear to him was left unattended and money became his sole passion and everything he touched turned to gold. When he finally did look away from his work, possessions and gold and realized that he was lonely, he called for his daughter for company , but when she came to his side and he touched her, she too turned to gold. It was only then that the King realized that true wealth comes from the people and experiences we love and enjoy in life. So this card is a warning to not bring your work home with you, and learn when enough is enough. Don’t spend all your time and attention on your work, money and possessions. Tend to matters of your heart too. Let go of some of that money in order to share and enjoy it with others and the pursuit of happiness. This doesn’t mean becoming a spendthrift and blowing your budget, it just means putting enjoyment and recreation into your budget. Budget some time and money to things and people you hold near and dear to you.

Page of Pentacles reversed

Blog Post #8 – Tarot Card for the Week of Sept. 24th – Sept. 30th

Two significant things happening during this week. One of them, the Full Moon in Aries tonight which will encourage and support boldness and passion in your life. This is a good time to be creative, take more but planned out risks, and to let your passionate nature out to howl at the Moon!!! You may feel more amorous and sensual than usual, so don’t be afraid to express that part of yourself. You may find your creative juices are flowing and you want to create and manifest your hopes and dreams and give birth to something new in your life. The second thing happening this week, is … my Birthday falls during this week which is fitting, as I was born under a Full Moon many years ago. Go figure! A Tarot Reader born under a full Moon!!! But without further ado, let’s get to this weeks Tarot Card Reading…

The Page of Pentacles reversed can tell you that you are feeling a little rebellious this week. Like that bad boy/girl ‘rebel without a cause’ type person. You want to do something different, just because you can. You want to fly in the face of convention, let your hair down, be wild and free. Fight for the sake of fighting and argue for the sake of winning, whether the subject is important to you or not. You are feeling a little dangerous this week, tired of being the good boy/girl or someone elses’s doormat. This is all fine and good… to a point. But if you take this attitude too far, you may find it could cost you more than you bargained for. If you are spouting off at work, it could get you a reprimand in your personnel file or even worse… you could get demoted or have your pay docked or even find yourself without a job at all! Or on the other hand, you may be feeling scattered and lack luster, with a serious lack of motivation. You may find that you have no enthusiasm for your work or assignments. If you are a student, you may be playing more than studying and find when that big test or presentation rolls around, you aren’t prepared at all and bomb the whole thing.  Pentacles are all about manifesting your goals and dreams, as well as day-to-day work and survival issues. And Pages are about new beginnings, fresh starts, and focusing on there given suits. Pentacles are the earth and physical plane suit. They deal with everyday living concerns. Money, finances, work, building, manifesting and surviving. The Pages also deal with news. So the Page of Pentacles deals with news about all things earthly and physical dealing with your everyday survival issues. Since this Page of Pentacles is reversed, it can indicate bad or delays in news concerning the earth or your physical everyday concerns such as bad news about money, school, or even your or someone else’s physical well-being.  It can mean you are having trouble concentrating or carrying out your day-to-day tasks or dropping the ball on some important project you have been working on or money or news about finances or health issues isn’t good or will be delayed. This card is telling you it’s ok to voice your wild and carefree side, but do it in a respectful manner in order to protect your best interests. It’s ok to play, but balance it outwith some hard work too. Be mindful that you may be feeling unmotivated and scattered this week, so try to at least get a minimum done to keep yourself out of the doghouse.  Nurture yourself and give yourself some space and time dedicated just for yourself in order to get through this week unscathed. The key to allowing yourself some freedom without suffering any lasting consequences is BALANCE! Be wild and crazy in your free time, not when you should be getting your work done. In health matters, give yourself some downtime… even take a day off just to rest up if you need it, but be ready to put in some extra effort when you return to make up for it. In finances, don’t make any major decisions this week… it can wait till things settle down next week. If your check is late, hang in there… it will be there next week. Let your rebellious nature have some free time and expression, but do it after work… you’ll be better off for it come Monday!

If you want to be entered into this Friday’s FREE 3-card Tarot Reading drawing,  all you need to do is leave a comment in the reply box below and you will automatically be entered in the weekly drawing!

Blog Post #7 – Tarot Card for the Week of Sept. 17th – Sept. 23rd

Queen of Rods (a.k.a. Wands)

The Queen of Rods (or as known in other Tarot decks, The Queen of Wands) is the Queen of Fire. She is magnetic, theatrical, dramatic and sexually alluring. When she enters a room she commands the attention of all present, whether she speaks a word or not! Her very presence fills a room and she enchants anyone who makes contact with her. She is Self-confident and uses her instincts and intuition to make decisions rather than relying on purely on logic. She is a career woman and self-assurance is her middle name. She loves being in the limelight and can become rather pouty or downright mean if she feels someone is stealing her thunder! She is both sides of the feminine; the encouraging, giving, caretaker, or if you cross her or those under her care in any way, she can tear you a new one (if you catch my drift)! She is the embodiment of the Female Boss Lady (Think of the Movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ starring Meryl Streep). If she takes you under her wing, she will do everything in her power to make sure you succeed. She signifies growth, creation, ideas, instinct, creativity, confidence and sexual allure. This week you will either meet someone that embodies this Woman’s qualities, or you will embody these qualities yourself. So if you meet this woman or find yourself interacting with her, be sure you stay on her good side, as she can make good things happen for you. If you get on her bad side, she can and will make life miserable for you. If this card indicates YOU, you are feeling confident, creative and in control of yourself, the situation and all those around you.
You can create success for yourself and/or for those you hold dear. This can be a female (usually), but can indicate the feminine side of a male just as easily. Everyone has both male  and female energies within them. This card bodes well in ones career or if you are a Domestic Goddess whom makes a home, a home. She creates a welcoming space in her home and makes it warm and welcoming. All in all a very good card if you are seeking confidence and creativity in any career, environment or situation… as long as you don’t cross her, or if it’s you, no one should cross you!
