In honor of the Full Blue Moon we are under as I write this; I decided to re-post my Blog Post #10.

This weeks card is from The Druid Craft Tarot Deck, which is one of my favorite deck’s with a very soulful feel to it. I love to use this deck when I’m doing soul searching. I would imagine that you get that feeling from this card as well.        

THE MOON is all about delving into the unconscious. Digging into our shadow sides and our issues that we have buried deep from the light of our consciousness. This card deals with things that happen at night, in the shadows or in the dark. It shows our loco, primal or crazy side. With THE MOON, we are faced with the scary things we only bring into conscious awareness when the lights are out. Our fears, our demons, our monsters under the bed.  These things crawl out of the abyss of our subconscious and into our awareness as a feeling in the pit of our stomach and won’t let us sleep. If sleep does come, our dreams pick up where our consciousness left off and this is where nightmares are made. But it also has that soulful side of our shadow that I mentioned before. Where we can bring out the ‘real us’ that we don’t let others see for fear they would think us odd, uncivilized or plain loco. It is the side of us that some might consider illogical, irrational, spooky or even downright evil. Not because it is truly evil, but because it isn’t readily acceptable in the light of day or in Western culture. It is our intuition, our gut feelings, our dreams and how we ‘just know’ things without knowing why. These abilities are mysterious to most and often times feared. At times, they even scare ourselves because we feel they come from some other worldly source that we shouldn’t be communicating with. A source unseen that causes fear and a sense of uneasiness in the majority of us.

THE MOON is the card of the Psychic, the Gypsy, the Fortune-teller. It is the card of the mysterious Goddess of the night. The animus and primal in us, the beast or baser instincts within us all. It is also the card of the powerful feminine energy. The cycles in us and the Earth. Mother Nature’s cycles, menstrual cycles, gestational cycles, seasonal cycles, the cycles of the MOON herself, the tide cycles, as well as rites of passage cycles such as aging… the Maiden, the Mother and the Crone.              THE MOON is the sacred feminine. THE MOON is the mysterious female. THE MOON is woman.  On the next full Moon, look at her with your eyes and heart wide open. See her. Really see HER in all her beauty! Her face is full, her lips lush and sensual, her cheeks high and proud and strong. When you aren’t afraid to truly look at her, you can see THE MOON is NOT ‘The Man in the Moon’ at all; but your sacred feminine whom illuminates what lies in the darkest corners of our souls, asking us to see it, recognize it and accept it, and not be afraid!!!

Guardian of the gates of illusion and knowledge. Wisdom. Sound Judgement.on Sense. Serenity. Objectivity. Penetration. Foresight. Perception. Self-Reliance. Platonic Relationships. Yin Energy. Feminine Knowing. Going within. Facing ones shadow side. Gnosis.  Psychic. Witch. Feminine powers of perception.   The HIGH PRIESTESS signifies that you need to honor and accept the guidance of your intuition this week. But whomever she is, she seems to just KNOW the unknowable. Tarot Blog Post #40 – Tarot Reading for the week of May 6th – May 13th

I see this card a the card of celebration, socializing & friendship. entertainment. making a toast. the conclusion of a matter. plenty. perfection.  making merry. happiness. victory . fulfillment. solace. healing. the culmination of something you’ve strived for & with reason to celebrate. female friendship. think the gals from sex & the city…carrie, maranda, sam, & charolet. let’s go out for a drink to celebrate. hanging out. socializing. networking. comadery. a wingman. like minded people who really get you and share your interests.

This suggests something worth celebrating has happened. Or maybe you will be going to an event, a movie, or out to drinks with friends. You may have accomplished something that you had been striving for and are over the Moon about it and want to share the news with those whom have supported you along the way. This is a symbol of hanging out and having a good time. Or hanging out in order to show support when something not so good has happened that put an end to something, like a break-up, a divorce, a job lose, etc. Partying & socializing. This can show groups of people whom support and nurture each other.  It can also indicate threesomes. This can be a really good thing, or a not so good thing.  For a couple when there is a third person and there shouldn’t be, such as an affair going on. Or perhaps a third wheel. Whether you feel like the third wheel, or someone else is tagging along when you’d rather be alone with another person. But all in all, this is a really great card for hanging out with friendly or like minded people whom really ‘get you’ and support you. Being there for each other through thick and thin.They cheer you on and support you, they have your back or you have theirs. Groups of people who share the same interests. Clubs. Teams. Teamwork. A group or gathering of people. Rights of passage culminating in a ceremony such as a Graduation, Wedding, Bridal or Baby shower, “Hail,hail, the gangs all here!” “Hip,hip, hoo-ray!” “Way to go, you really deserved this raise, promotion, or new job. Perhaps you have won an election or  got appointed to some position you were hoping for. This could also be an engagement. Announcing you are pregnant when you’ve been trying for awhile. Anything where something dear to your heart finally happend and you wish to share the news with people who care about you or you care about them. This can also indicate something to do with an on-line network or job. Gamers getting together on-line.  Give and receive kudos or support. A support group, system or team. A meeting to go to or an appointment. Regardless of the occasion, it’s time to celebrate with others. Go out and have some fun! Spend some time with your crew!

Tarot Blog Post #39 – Tarot Reading for the week of April 29th – May 6th

            Card # 1: Nine of swords: the situation         

WORRY. ANXIETY. DEPRESSION. MAKING MOUNTAINS OUT OF MOLE HILLS. NEGATIVE THOUGHTS. LETTING OUR FEARS GET THE BEST OF US. INSOMNIA. MENTAL DIS-EASE.    With the nine of swords, we see the effect that worry has on the mind, emotions and body. Something we have done, said, or put in place has us very worried and tied up in knots.  We are restless and we find ourselves tossing and turning all night. No matter what we do or how we try to dismiss these worries that plague us, it’s to no avail. We can’t seem to shake this feeling of doom and gloom or shut off our thoughts and worries. We lay awake… possibly thinking up worse case scenarios in our heads, blowing everything way out of proportion. We have taken a simple thought and created our own monster out of it. We have made a mountain out of a mole hill by building worse and worse outcomes through out the night. Perhaps it was the moon or a bad dream that was playing tricks on us and distorting our usually rational thinking. Things always seem bleakest before the dawn, for whatever reason, our thoughts have gotten way out of hand. What in all likelihood is not even a big deal…  could manifest into an actual problem if we don’t get our thoughts under control. Worrying needlessly can cause mental fatigue, emotional issues, as well as physical ailments such as ulcers, headaches or body aches through tension. The nine of swords is letting you know, whatever you are worrying about isn’t worth losing sleep over. It isn’t likely to happen at all. It’s all in your mind at this point. So let it go, get some rest and everything will play out in your favor once you calm down and deal with it logically in the light of day. Remember, if you think something long enough… it will become real. Thoughts can become manifest. So why not think happy thoughts and manifest something wonderful instead?!!!  You might have found yourself discontent , and over time it has slowly progressed into depression. The same mean comment someone said to you or behind your back keeps playing over and over in your mind and getting louder and louder. Negative thoughts keep tumbling through your head and now you can’t seem to pull yourself out of the depression these things have started in you. You keep playing scene after scene of what could happen in your head, bringing your energy level down and possibly crippling you with fear. Again, the worst case scenerio isn’t likely to happen unless you won’t let it go. You don’t have to forget it so you can protect yourself from going there again, but maybe you should forgive so you can move on. It’s okay to leave the things that no longer serve your highest good behind. Just don’t keep carrying around the pain… it won’t bring you peace. So, find the silver lining in even the toughest situations in order to heal, learn and move on into a positive state. Everything looks better in the light of day!

This week we have drawn the Three of Pentacles. The keyword meanings for this card are: Great skill in your work or trade. Mastery. Perfection. Artistic ability. Dignity. Renown. Rank. Power. Overall this card speaks of doing your very best work, and people are starting to take notice of your skill. This is the card of the Apprentice that has had his final evaluation and has passed with flying colors and has been promoted to a Journeyman position at work. His work has been admired by his peers and higher ups, and his efforts and skill have paid off. It’s very possible that by doing your best work, people are complimenting you and it’s even possible that you could be rewarded for the good job you have been doing. This could be a pat on the back, an actual award or ceremony in your honor. You could be recognized as Employee of the Month. Or you could get a raise, promotion, or be given a reference to other prospective Clients or Employers. Your skill is recognized by the higher ups and they will recommend you to others because of your skill and high work ethics . You may be climbing the ladder at work or professionally through your own efforts. This recognition will fill you with purpose, power and give you a sense of dignity. People know your name because your skill and work have earned you a good reputation in the business or work force. If this hasn’t happened for you just yet, it’s only a matter of time before it does. Keep putting your best efforts into your work and it will reap it’s own rewards! If you have been struggling to learn a new skill or task, this is a heads up that you have or will soon master it. Blog Post #37 – Tarot Reading for the week of April 15th – April 22nd

Seven of Wands

This week’s Blog post Tarot Card is the Seven of Wands. Defending what’s yours. Keep on Keeping on. Don’t rest on your laurels. Others wanting what you have. Fighting to retain your position. The perils of being on top. The courage to go where angels fear to thread. Keeping your nose to the grindstone in order to keep ahead and stay on top. Courage. Bravery. “Back the heck up!” Fighting off the competition. Now that you are on top, the need to defend your position. ‘Keep on truckin’.’ Don’t let up now! This is the gits of what the Seven of Wands is telling you. You have succeeded at something you have wanted and now all your admirers are envious of you. They want what you have and are trying to knock you down and take your place. Others envy what you have and now they want it for themselves. So, this card is telling you, even though you have finally made progress or even succeeded at gaining a victory on a goal you had been hoping to achieve… now you have to continue that same pace and effort it took to acquire it in the first place in order to keep it. Isn’t it the way of humanity? Others cheer you on and support you when you’re trying to accomplish something and are the under dog. They cheer and applaud you when you succeed and win. But then they get jealous and envious of your success and want to take what you have or bring you down from your higher position. You can’t just shake your head and ignore them. They will topple you from the position you have worked long and hard at acquiring. You need to be vigilant and watch your back for others trying to take what you have. You need to keep working as hard at keeping what you have gained as you did at acquiring it in the first place. You can’t say “I did it! Now I can relax!” Nope!!!! There is always someone nipping at your heels ready to take your place. So don’t let up on your pace and don’t rest on your laurels. You need to keep working just as hard as you did to succeed in the first place, in order to keep it or advance further. On the up side of this card, it does show that you have succeeded in gaining a position or goal that you had worked long and hard for. You have made it and are now on top of things. That is a really good feeling and incentive to keep on excelling and pushing for your next goal. So keep on keeping on… keep doing what you’ve been doing at the pace you’ve been doing it. You may have to go where angels fear to thread and have the courage of David; but if you keep your nose to the grindstone, you too can get on top and stay there!!!

Blog Post #36 – Tarot Reading for the week of April 8th – April 15th

THE WORD WANTS TO BE WRITTEN

You might have been taught, creativity is something you have to work hard to access, or that finding your life purpose is so difficult that you must search high and low for it. Yet what you are is within you and wants to come out at every available opportunity! You don’t have to struggle so much. It is more about allowing space for it to manifest and to let the energy flow. The real struggle is not in finding something. It is more about letting go of the idea that you need to search for your path in the first place. You see, the process of activating your life path is a natural one. The effort is in getting out of the way, not in making something happen.
As for being yourself, that is the foundation from which your true life path will reveal itself. Being your self becomes easier when you give yourself permission to love, honor and except yourself in all circumstances, especially the ones where you might be more tempted to reject and judge. Give the sacred rebel within the opportunity to decide your values-irrespective of whether they meet with general social acceptance.
This Oracle brings you the message that what you are dreaming of or seeking to do, create, live or manifest, it’s actually very natural for you. That is why you want to do it.
If you experienced controlling and manipulative forces as you were growing up, you would have found it hard to access your natural state at that time. You would have been too busy trying to adapt and get through the trials of childhood.
When you finished navigating childhood and started to let go of who you were taught to be in order to become who you really are, you may have found your life path was not easily accessible. That is simply because your true and natural self was covered by layers of shame from that early conditioning that you had to be other than you are in order to win love or be acceptable.
However, that natural self hasn’t gone anywhere. It is still there within you. Now it is just about chipping away at the walls of shame, perhaps with a defiant, “who the hell cares, I am here and I am going to love myself anyway.” This allows you to risk sharing the feeling of any shame that arises as you release old emotional wounds and break away from any restraints to unconditional self-love. The sacred rebel within can empower you to love yourself no matter what, simply because you want to. You might decide to declare, “I am still lovable-so put that in your pipe and smoke it!” This will send an energetic message to whom ever shamed you in the first place, whether they meant to or not. Your message could be going to a parent, school teacher, sibling, friend, lover or anyone else that was struggling enough with their own shame wound that they couldn’t help but dump it on you. You can be freed to realize that the shame is just an emotion, not a truth, and you can defy any hold it has ever had on you and your ability to love yourself. This oracle brings you the guidance that you are now powerful enough to break the cycle. It is time to stop the shame and claim your self in love instead.
What you want to write, sing, dance or become, is in you. It is natural. Drop your defenses, get into the grit and confront the power that any old shaming has over you. It’s finished now. It is time for you to be naked with your self, acknowledge how gorgeous you are and get on with your work. Life is urging you to do so, because the work wants to happen. What you want to create, wants to be created. The word wants to be written. You just need to let go of any remnants of the past that have been in your way. Step firmly over them and on to your path.

Blog Post #35 – Tarot Reading for the week of April 1st – April 7th

This weeks Blog post Tarot Reading is the Major Arcana Card ‘Love’.  Soul felt love. Finding completion in love. Soulmates. Blessed loving unions. Finding comfort and guidance in another. Right and Moral choices. Tests.   Since it is a Major Arcana card, it signifies a Big Lesson or event/situation you are going through or are needing to learn before moving on to the next major phase in your life.  When we see Love as a Major Arcana card, this is even more significant than the 2 of Cups’ human love. This Major type of love goes well beyond the normal expression of love we see on a day-to- day basis.  The type of love this Major card is speaking of is on a Soul level. The things Soul Mates are made of. This is the love so deep that it doesn’t even need words to express. You can sit in complete silence with the one you love and the feelings themselves speak volumes. It is comforting, comfortable and all consuming. This type of love makes you both the very best you can be just by knowing and loving the other. This is the kind of love  that completes you. Sometimes this can show that there is a choice to be made between two loves. One of the loves is physical love and the other is a Soulful love. With a Major love like this, it is imperative that you choose the right and moral love and not the one that is a physical or more exciting immediate love. You need to choose with your Soul and do what is right. This doesn’t even have to be human-human love. This can be human-pet love.  Human-Career love that feeds the Soul. Human-Spiritual love. Whatever feeds your Soul and completes you and creates love in the World because of your love… this is the kind of love this card speaks of. So do you have two loves in your life that you need to prioritize or choose from? This is a moral test, so take the high road… choose the love that is right and true.  Or this could be an indication that you have found your soulmate. Or that you need to open your heart and let love in on a soul level and express that love to another. Don’t take those you love for granted or let yourself be taken for granted. This is a love that is protected and blessed from above. The Universe wants this love to be. Make the right choice… Embrace Love!

This week’s Tarot Reading card is the 6 of Cups. It means Nostalgia for things in our past. Childhood. Young Love. School days. Summer Love. Family. Home. Friends. Our youth. Reminiscing. Dealings with Children. Childcare. This week you could find yourself trying to remember who you were and just what it was you loved in your younger days. You could be feeling nostalgic about your school days, summer vacations spent laying or playing in the Sun, old loves from days gone by and in general…. the gifts of your youth. Or the gifts from a child or things belonging to your Children in the past or your own Childhood. It can also speak of when your own Children were younger and how their Childhood and infancy plays those sweet movies in your heart that make you feel both happy and sad now that they are so grown up. Those are precious memories of times you’ll never forget and would give anything to relive all over again. This card can also indicate careers having to do with Children… Daycare, a School Teacher, Pediatrics, Childcare positions, or just watching your own Children play and remembering when you were that age. Another take on this card is the Family Home. perhaps you are thinking about fixing up, remodeling or sprucing up your home or the home of a Family member. Many times this card can indicate you are thinking of an old flame and wishing you could capture that first in love feeling again. So this week, you’ll be taking a trip down memory lane and feeling that bittersweet feeling Nostalgia and Reminiscing always brings. So to be sure, Children, Childhood, School days, Family Housing and/or Memories of loves and days gone by will be prominent in your life this week. Enjoy Reminiscing!

Blog Post #33 – Tarot Reading for the week of March 18th – March 25th

New beginnings. a fresh start. travel. adventure. trust. protection. yes. intuition. This week’s Tarot Reading card is #0/beginnings/tara. in other tarot decks it is more commonly known as ‘the fool’. it’s main meaning is new beginnings.  this is where the tarot journey begins and ends, as in life, the journey is never ending. the journey is a circle which is full of cycles, beginnings and endings which always lead to a new beginning. sound confusing? put in a more easily understandable form, think of this card as the phase in life where you are in your youth. just starting out in the world and when everything was/is about you. you are/were making your personality traits, your moral stance, your belief system, your own personal connections. this is the young person before you became a partner, a wife/husband, a mother/father, or a grandmother/grandfather. this was the phase where you began the journey of becoming the person you chose to be. every step since birth was a new beginning. then once you complete the phase of becoming that individual, you then take the next step to find your mate and become a couple. From there you may have become a parent. from there you may have become a grandparent. from there,you come full circle and come to the stage where you are discovering  the new you. the you that you have become. through all the lessons you have learned along your journey through life as a part of others lives. You have journeyed though the stages of maiden/wife/mother/crone;youth/adulthood/maturity, or birth/child/youth. now you have come full circle and it is time to step into the new you or your next phase in life. you may not even be fully aware ‘who you are’ at this point. This is an exciting time filled with endless possibilities. everything has become new again, including you! every step and decision you make from here on out is a new one. you now have the ability to recreate yourself on your own terms. you will be determining just what your likes and dislikes are now, without having to worry what your parents, your significant other, the kids, or even your grand kids think. this new beginning is about you. about  discovering and creating the you that you want to be for the journey/phase of your life that you are just beginning today. that’s pretty exciting stuff!!! this card speaks of fresh starts. new beginnings.  plans you can count on being a resounding “yes” to!!! it also says that as you start out, you can trust that you are being protected by the universe and that spirit has your back in any new adventures or ventures. you can trust your gut instincts even though others may think you are crazy or reckless. if you are asking if now is the time to take that trip, dye your hair, ask for that raise, make that career change… this card is the signal to take a chance. this card is the big “yes” card!!!! it’s the beginning of spring. new blood is flowing through the flowers and trees, the sun has awoken, and newness is everywhere you look. get in on the action and take your new steps in knowing and discovering yourself. now is the time to create…you!!!!
